Antonio told Francesca he wanted to marry her at Santuario di Sant' Antonio in Padova on their way back home to Ischia (a small island off the coast of Naples, Italy) after surprising her with a road trip to Venice. The santuario is a special place for Antonio because it's where his late father went to pray for a son before Antonio was born and he is named for the saint whose remains are at the santuario. Antonio was on his knees praying at the main altar when he told Francesca he loved her and wanted to marry her. She was overwhelmed with joy! At Francesca's brother's wedding, Antonio got down on one knee again to present Francesca with a family heirloom engagement ring that his father had given to his mother. |

The bride and groom are still working out the details of their Italian ceremony and reception. But they will be getting married in the States on November 29, 2008. The ceremony will take place at the bride's Church of the Madonna in Fort Lee, N.J. And the reception will take place at Villa Amalfi, an Italian restaurant in Cliffside Park, N.J. |

The bride has already purchased two traditional dresses that are strapless and have chapel-length trains -- one for each of the weddings. |

The couple will host a Thanksgiving-themed wedding in the United States replete with cornucopias, fall leaves, and acorns. |

The couple's love for one another is the only inspiration each needs. Francesca and Antonio fell in love around Thanksgiving 2004, which was Antonio's first time in the United States. That's why the date and theme are special to them. |
