I’ve always wanted my wedding to be perfect. Everyone advised me that NO wedding has ever been perfect. Mine was! There were NO ISSUES! Not one! I swear, I would never lie about this! I really strongly believe that the reason for this was Debra Thompson. I was very hesitant about hiring a wedding planner because I didn’t want someone telling me what I wanted and needed since I already knew. I sought out Debra through the knot. I was convinced on getting all knot picks as my vendors because it would ensure that they would do the job correctly and efficiently. She stood out from the fifteen different planners I looked at. She was in the area, her prices were reasonable and most importantly, on every website I checked she had great reviews. My husband and I booked a meeting with her. It took maybe an hour into the meeting to realize she was “the one”. We spent four hours talking about my wedding. My husband and I fell in love with her. We booked her immediately. There are so many things that stand out about Debra. Some things are small like she’s never late, she always answers my emails and she’s always friendly. When we booked Debra my husband was not working and she negotiated a price that we could work with. She was worth every penny and more! I literally emailed her like 15 times a day with all my crazy ideas and funky finds and she always responded. At my most stressed out moments she was there to listen even when it had nothing to do with the wedding. She really became part of our soon to be family! She never pushed any vendors on us like other have done. She never got angry at me (though I don’t think I gave her a reason to) She was just awesome! The one reason I hired her was because I wanted my actual wedding day to go smooth. I didn’t want to worry about all my hard work being executed incorrectly. I wanted a day of peace! No madness. That it what I got! A Perfect Day! My wedding day was flawless! She did an amazing job and I would recommend her a million times. Please contact me if you’re not sure. HIRE DEBRA!  Debra is wonderful!

My husband met Debra Thompson when she was still employed with the VIP Country Club. I was trying to plan a wedding in NY from CA so planning my wedding was a bit on the stressful end. Ms. Thompson accommodated us even though we didn't have a scheduled appointment. We found her to be approachable, understanding, kind and professional. We immediately felt comfortable with her. She thoroughly explained the available services and was very organized. To my regret, I was unable to hire her as my wedding planner/coordinator due to the costly expense of flying to/from CA to NY. However, she continued to provide verbal, moral support and advice to my husband and myself. She provided us with the guidance necessary to undertake a successful, tasteful, memorable, and enjoyeable wedding. According to what I was told, our guests are "still" talking about our wedding. I highly recommend Ms. Thompson to all you future brides seeking a wedding planner/coordinator. I wish you the best and a joyful wedding!

 Above & Beyond!!

It was a warm October day in 2005, when my then finacee and I began a search for a reception hall. At this point we weren't even engaged, but I knew it was coming soon. We entered the VIP Club and were enamored with the facility. Although there were other places of equal or greater quality that we had visited, the selling point was the service provided by Debbie. Throughout the whole process of looking for a hall, we NEVER once met anyone like Deb. She treated us as if we were her own family and quickly gained our respect and admiration. She was very accommodating to us, and would meet or take our calls whenever we asked. She answered all of our questions with the precise information we were looking for. So, after several meetings and consultations with Debbie, we decided to move forward in making our dream wedding a reality at the VIP Club. Soon after, Debbie began "Weddings By Debra Thompson". My fiancee and I both knew her services had to be retained! When Lissette and I first started talking about getting married and planning a wedding, we knew the struggles we faced. Sure, we had friends and family who had all been through this and who could offer us guidance. But, we wanted to be assured that everything would happen on time and without a hitch. Like a few other reviewers have mentioned, Debbie is not only the person helping plan the most important day of your life, but she does so by making you feel as though you've known her for years. I wish I was articulate enough to properly explain how wonderful Debbie truly is! She is a professional, caring, warm, intelligent, beautiful woman who had made a huge impact in the lives of me and my new wife. Debbie, Lissette and I care so much for you and cannot begin to thank you enough for all you have meant to us. You really don't need me to leave a review for your business, as your work speaks for itself. But, it is a true pleasure for me to say you are certainly on TOP of the list of wedding consultants, and recommend your services to anyone who needs them!! You have been wonderful to me and Lissette and we have a new friend for the rest of our lives! By the way, you still need to come over for a Lissette prepared Spanish dinner! We Love You Deb!  BEST IN THE BUSINESS. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

Weddings by Debra is a one stop shop kind of planning service. Deb is the easiest person to work with and with her on your side it feels more like an army getting your magical day together. She is efficient, responsible and extremely dedicated to her craft. This what she loves to do and it shows. Deb made our wedding one of a kind and a moment in our lives that we will remember and cherish forever... but we couldnt have done it without her. She has a knack for getting to know her couples and turns into more of a close friend than a vendor. We visited 25 venues before hiring Deb - then picked the first place she took us to. This is top notch and no one can do it better than her. I interviewed other planners, who charged more, before picking Deb but none of them measured up. Deb takes the bull by the horns when it comes to problem solving, no one takes her for a ride with prices and she makes sure her couples get the right price, every time. I never wrote down a single note when on appointments with Deb - i didnt have to but still I never felt out of the loop. You're part of the process but with Deb its enjoyable and fun...she takes care of the tedious minutia so you can be beautiful, rested and unstressed on your wonderful day. Last note - thanks to Debs special touch my parents danced together for the first time in more than 20 years! You cannot go wrong with her!!!

 Debra is the Best

When I started planning my wedding I had no intention of hiring a wedding planner, but then I met Debra and I had to work with her. She was great. She is personal and vibrant. She knows the wedding business inside and out. She is extremely organized. She makes sure that everything is done for your wedding in a timely fashion. She helps with every aspect of your wedding to make it just the way you envisioned it. She is connected to great vendors from invitations to limos. You are guaranteed professional and quality service if you work with her. She becomes part of your family. On your wedding day she takes over and you do not have to worry about a thing. If something is going wrong you will never know. She makes it a priority that you enjoy your wedding day. I know I did.

 My Favorite Vendor!

Deb has been wonderful!!! My wedding day has not yet arrived, but Deb has been working with me for over a year. She is helping my mom with the shower and has helped me tremendously throughout the wedding planning. She has come to every appointment, and has recommended wonderful vendors to me, which I have so much confidance in. Deb has become more than a planner to Chris and I. She is like part of the family. There are times Chris says, "Let's call Deb and see what she's doing!! lol It just goes to show you the comfort level we have with her. She goes above and beyond for each and every of her brides. I can tell this, just from when i went to her apartment to meet with her and saw 5 boxes of wedding dresses that she has held for other brides. I don't know many wedding planners that would do that. She is a DOLL!!!! We love her, and honestly as much as I am excited for my wedding to come i will miss hanging out with her, and going for appointments!!! I would reccomend no other, Debra Thompson!!!!!

 All Class, Top Notch!

My husband and I met Debra when we booked our wedding reception in 2006. Right from the beginning she was incredibly helpful, polite and caring. Not all vendors that we dealt with were as upfront and honest as Debra. She is a class act and is very knowledgeable as to the ins and outs of executing a wedding to perfection. Her experience in the industry and her overall personality make her the perfect choice for a wedding planner. Our experience with Debra was nothing but positive and without her help and assistance our wedding reception would not have gone as seemlessly as it did. Every minute detail we obsessed over during the planning stage became as equally as important to Debra and she executed each of those details perfectly. Her strongest asset is that she truly does care for each of her couples and genuinely wants their wedding experience to be the best it can possibly be. I was married in 2006 and still keep in touch with Debra. She is a wonderful woman and a fantastic wedding planner. Don't pass up the opportunity to work with her. You will not regret it.

 Absolutely Fabulous

Matthew and I didn't plan on having a wedding planner. Deb was our consultant at the VIP. When Deb left the VIP to start her own business, I knew I would have to contact her to help me with my wedding. Deb is fabulous! She made me feel so special. Deb planned every part of our wedding with class and professionalism. She is one of a kind! Deb made our wedding day such a memorable experience. I would highly recommend Deb. Deb you are the best!  The Best of the Best!!!

My husband & I didn't plan on having a wedding planner, but when we met Deb, we just absolutely loved her from the start! She immediately put us at ease with her professionalism and expertise throughout the wedding planning process. Not only did she handle our wedding planning flawlessly, but we can honestly say that we were completely at ease throughout the 14 months of our planning. Deb made my husband & I feel like we were the only ones she was working with. She gave her all to each & every step of the wedding planning process. She dealt with all of our vendors and saw to it that all aspects were taken care of. She was there every step of the way to ensure that our "Wedding Day" would be the most memorable experience ever. When our wedding was just a week away, we met with our Florist to confirm our order for the entire bridal party and for what we thought, to discuss our centerpieces, but to our surprise, the florist indicated that they weren't doing our centerpiece arrangements. We panicked for a moment, as Deb saw, but she quickly got in touch with a florist in the Westchester area who agreed to do our centerpieces. We met with this amazing florist right away, thanks to Deb, to discuss our centerpieces. On our beautiful Wedding Day, the centerpieces were more beautiful than we had imagined them to be..all because of Deb's referral!!! Our Wedding Day was perfect in every way. Deb took care of everything (including coming up with a garter, which I forgot!). We could not ask for more on our special day..which our family & friends still speak of. We not only had the best Wedding Planner, but have also made a lifelong friend!! We love you, Deb! Sandy & Rich

 One of a kind wedding planner!

Let me begin by saying that we did not initially intend to hire a planner. Then, during dinner with a friend, she mentioned Deb Thompson and suggested that I give her a call to discuss some concerns that I had regarding the contract with my reception location. Deb met with us to review our venue's contract and as soon as we met Deb, we realized that she was genuine, readily available to assist wherever needed, and experienced in the wedding industry. And that's how we ended up with a wedding planner! Deb is hard-working and went above and beyond our expectations. Some examples that still stand out for us-- I called her while she was on vacation in Florida because I was in a panic over our wedding invitations and she quickly resolved the situation with the vendor and I NEVER needed to get involved. On the day of the wedding, she helped to re-arrange seating for my in-laws who decided that they did not want to be seated near the music-- within fifteen minutes she had a new table set and made sure they had everything they wanted. My in-laws continue to talk about how helpful she was...On the morning after my wedding, Deb was on the phone with my parents to help locate my sister's cell phone that had been left behind in the limo. These are just a few examples that stand out in my mind... Deb also has many contacts with vendors put in the extra effort for her and her clients. Deb's assistance throughout our wedding plans truly allowed my husband and I as well as our families to enjoy the experience. Most importantly, on the day of the wedding-- all we had to think about was enjoying the day and sharing in a great time with our families --all the while knowing that the details we had so carefully planned would be taken care of by Deb. Deb devotes her time, energy, and love to each bride that she works with. I feel so fortunate to have met Deb and to have worked so closely with her to plan such a memorable event.
